2024 Resolution Success: Here is how to do it.
As we turn the page to 2024, many of us are making our annual New Year's resolutions. While nutrition and fitness often top the list, we can end up setting ourselves up for failure with lofty goals. So this year, let's try something different and focus on small, achievable goals instead!
In my experience, new years resolution for many people didn't work. Not because the goal was unachievable it was because people gave up to quickly. They saw their goal as the end all be all and because it took to long to get there, they SIMPLY JUST QUIT. But not YOU. You are not a quitter. You will not work towards perfection, but progress. Here are some full proof tips to achieving your new year’s resolution and actually succeed.
Start by setting weekly and monthly goals that are realistic and doable. Instead of aiming to lose 50 pounds in a year, try losing a pound or two each week. This will help you stay motivated and on track.
Next, pick one or two healthy habits to focus on and get consistent at. Maybe it's adding more veggies to your meals or taking a daily walk. Building a foundation of healthy habits will make a big difference in the long run.
Don't forget about the importance of weight training! Lifting weights three times a week helps build strength, muscle, and improves bone density. Start with light weights or bodyweight exercises and work your way up.
Make sure to incorporate fun movement into your day too. Hiking, dancing, or playing a sport are great options. Find something you enjoy and make it a regular part of your routine.
Lastly, don't fall into the all or nothing mindset. If you have a bad day, don't beat yourself up. Just get back on track and keep making small, achievable goals.
So let's make 2024 the year of small, achievable goals that lead to big results!
